A Lonely ROAD

Sigh Oh, where do I even start? Alright, listen, if you want to know what it takes to develop a game single-handedly without a team... rubs temples
First off, it takes a LOT of time. Like, an insane amount of time. I'm talking years, not months. You'll be spending countless hours working on every aspect of the game, from design to programming to art creation. And don't even get me started on the debugging process... shudders
You'll need to be a master of multiple disciplines: programming languages like C++, Java, or Python, game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, 3D modeling and animation tools like Blender or Maya, and don't forget about sound design and music composition. exasperated sigh It's like trying to be a one-person orchestra.
And let's not forget about the scope of the project. You'll need to set realistic goals and prioritize features, because, trust me, you won't be able to do everything you want to do. bitter laugh I mean, I've been working on my own game for three years now, and I've had to cut so many features it's not even funny.
You'll also need to be incredibly organized and self-motivated. There's no one to hold you accountable, no team to bounce ideas off of, no one to share the workload with. It's just you, alone, staring at a screen for hours on end, trying to solve the same problem for the hundredth time. slams fist on desk
And, of course, there's the issue of burnout. You'll need to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally, or you'll end up like me: a frustrated, sleep-deprived, coffee-guzzling mess. chuckles darkly
But, if you're still willing to take on the challenge, here's some advice: start small, be realistic, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Join online communities, forums, and social media groups to connect with other developers who might be able to offer guidance or support. And, for the love of all things good, take breaks and prioritize your mental health! throws hands up in the air
I mean, I'm still working on my game, and it's been a long, hard road, but... pauses, looking at screen...it's going to be worth it, right? nervously laughs
